Compact Fluorescent Bulbs And Car Pollution

A few days ago, USA Today had an editorial about energy conservation. One of their statistics just jumped out at me. I have no reason to think it untrue - nevertheless, it does seem rather incredible to me.

They said that if every household in the United States replaced just one regular light bulb with a compact fluorescent alternative, in terms of pollution, that would be the equivalent of removing one million cars from the road for an entire year.

Pretty incredible if true.
