Travis and Jonathan are just about the funniest things on the Internet. They have a website, a blog, and a MySpace account, but I found them on YouTube, from which they actually run the short episodes of their show, Red State Update.

The two of them play a couple of lovable redneck characters named Jackie and Dunlap, though it's hard to tell whether Jackie and Dunlap really have a lot of Travis and Jonathan in them or whether these boys are just that good.

At any rate, they're funny enough to make you squirt Coke through your nose.

Everything on their set, including their clothing, a background of flags and a table full of empty beer cans, is red, white and blue. Jackie Broyles is the older of the two, and sports a gingham shirt with denim overalls, a cap, and a big, bushy beard.

He's a mumbler, a reactionary, and can be led off on a tangent in a heartbeat, which Dunlap loves doing. Dunlap wears a U.S. flag shirt and cap and is the thinker who wonders aloud about current issues in the news and other things, which really gets Jackie going.

"Please don't tell me no more of that stuff. I don't want to hear it", Jackie said during one of Dunlap's rants about a Britney Spears photo.

Here's what Dunlap has to say about the drinking age: "A lot of folks is saying, if you 18 years old, you old enough to go over to Iraq and get your legs blowed off, then you old enough to enjoy a beer afterward".

They even have original music. You seriously need to check these boys out, no matter what color your state is.
