The Adventure Of A Lifetime
Want an experience that few will ever achieve? Interested in reaching the top of the world? From May to September, choose from a variety of tours, all departing from Fairbanks, Alaska, that will take you north of the Arctic Circle.
Most tours involve a short ride in a small aircraft from Fairbanks to your designated landing point. You will be given an official Arctic Circle crossing certificate, spend some time on the frozen tundra, and have the opportunity to photograph some of the incredible Alaskan wildlife. You will then fly back to Fairbanks the same day.
A very few specialized tours allow you to camp overnight at the Arctic Circle. On these tours, the camping is generally the focus and you may miss some of the other opportunities such as wildlife photography stops.
More commonly, the day trip to the Arctic Circle can be combined with other Fairbanks area tours, such as a flight-seeing expedition that lands on a glacier, to create a multi-day touring experience.
Remember that Alaska is the land of the midnight sun. Marvel at the startling thrill of a midnight baseball game with no artificial lights in Fairbanks or go for a midnight run. However you decide to spend your time, Fairbanks north to the Arctic Circle offer a spectacular experience unparalleled anywhere else on Earth.
