Fortunately, there is a website created by those who understand. Bored.com provides a wealth of entertainment to even the most apathetic amongst us.

Bored’s homepage consists of nothing more than a collection of links to other websites, all nicely categorized. Choose from Music, Games, Humor, Fun and many more. There is even a section dedicated to Making Money — wouldn’t that be great, to sit down at your computer when you are bored and walk away with a bit of extra cash in your pocket? There is a separate Kids’ Section, though most of the site’s content would be of at least passing interest to the average child. Many adults I know spend more time in the Kids’ Section than anywhere else, demonstrating the fact that when you are bored, immaturity becomes quite hilarious.

Most of Bored.com’s links lead to silly time wasters that are fun for a few minutes. However, the site encourages you to dig deep to find the hidden gems. Some of the games are created and hosted by Bored.com, but most links send you to a completely different website. Magic tricks, impossible-to-win games and sites full of random trivia are just a few of the things that Bored.com has to offer.

Be careful with Bored.com. Make sure that you truly do have time to waste. Some of the links are to in-depth sites that can snare you into wasting an entire afternoon. The sheer volume of material on Bored.com can also rope you in, even if you spend only a few minutes checking out each link they offer.

Bored.com is a great example of a company finding a niche and filling it. Who knew that we needed an entire website dedicated to entertaining us when we are bored? Once you find the site, however, you are likely to return again. Bored.com is a large site that takes a long time to explore.

The webmasters also do an excellent job of updating and adding new content on a regular basis. Many people check in with Bored.com whenever they are online, just to enjoy the new content.
