What's Wrong With This Picture?

It takes an average citizen something like three months to get a passport these days.

However, it took only about a month for some undercover GAO agents to assume fictitious names, create a bogus business on paper, be approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to legally buy radioactive material (you know - the kinda stuff that they use in dirty bombs), order it AND have it delivered to a post office box!

Now that's what I call an expedited process!

So …

… not only does getting a passport take three times as long as buying radioactive material … there's actually much greater security associated with it … <shaking my head in disbelief>

Isn't this INSANITY of the highest order?

I am speechless …
