Winter Skin Tips
If you're in a cold climate like I am, you're bundling up to keep warm. For me, the worst part of winter is dry skin. My nose peels, my forehead feels like it's been injected with Botox, and I'm constantly itchy. It's just awful.
I'm a consumer guinea pig from November-February. I'll try any skin cream, lotion, cleanser, to keep my skin clean and moisturized. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's greasy moisturizers that make me feel like I just rubbed a stick of butter on my face. Yuck!
So I've started early this year and I'm determined to find one product that gives me relief from dry skin and winter itch. So far, coca butter has kept my skin from peeling. Although it is greasy for a little while, it's tolerable.
A recent article that I read described facial beautification tips that included recipes for moisturizers. Maybe I'll try one! Products that will keep your skin replenished can be found in your own kitchen.
For instance, if you get wind-burn on a cold windy day, try warm water and oatmeal. Bananas can be used to give skin a smoother appearance, while milk and yogurt will soften your skin's touch.
Now I have to admit that I'll probably never tell anyone that I tried any of these, should I feel experimental.
Somehow rubbing yogurt on my face doesn't sounds too appealing! However, if I do stumble upon an excellent product to keep dry skin at bay, I'll let you know!
